Presbyterian Women

The Presbyterian Women’s group (PW) is the national women’s organization of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.).

FPC PW is organized into two “Circles” that meet monthly for Bible Study and fellowship. Circle 1 meets on the first Wednesday of the month at 10:00 a.m. at the Church, and Circle 7 meets on the second Tuesday of the month at 7:00 p.m. in members’ homes.

All members meet together for a monthly luncheon and program on the fourth Wednesday of the month (most months – schedule varies as necessary due to holidays).

The Presbyterian Women’s purpose, according to its national website, is:

“Forgiven and freed by God in Jesus Christ, and empowered by the Holy Spirit,
    we commit ourselves:
    • to nurture our faith through prayer and Bible study to support the
    missions of the church worldwide.
    • to work for justice and peace.
    • and to build an inclusive, caring community of women that strengthens the
Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) and witnesses to the promise of God’s kingdom.”
